Your Clifton Veterinarians

Dr. Bruce Henderson

Clifton veterinarian at animal hospital

A 1986 graduate of the Purdue University College of Veterinary medicine, Dr Henderson is the Hospital Director of Valley Animal Hospital.  After graduation from veterinary school, he practiced in Ocean County New Jersey for about 14 years before joining the staff at Valley Animal Hospital.  His interests include internal medicine, reconstructive knee surgery and geriatric medicine (working with older pets).

He and his wife, Laurie, share their hearts and home with 2 German Shepherd dogs, 8 cats and 2 birds. When not working, Dr Henderson enjoys golf and working around his over-100 year old house.

Dr Henderson is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the New Jersey Veterinary Medical Association, the Association of Avian Veterinarians and the Association of Reptile and Amphibian Veterinarians.

"After working at several veterinary hospitals, I have never seen a staff as dedicated to their patients as the staff at Valley Animal Hospital."

Dr. Jamie Thompson

Clifton veterinarian at animal hospital

Dr. Thompson is a native to the Northern New Jersey area. She grew up in Oak Ridge and then attended Fairleigh Dickinson University. After graduating in 2013 with her B.S. in biology and chemistry, she headed to Kansas State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine. Although she loved her time spent in the midwest, Dr. Thompson decided to move back to NJ following her graduation in May 2017.

Dr. Thompson lives in the Weehawken area with her boyfriend, Mark, and their Kansas cat, Sorlie. When Dr. Thompson is not working, you can expect to find her outdoors. She loves camping, hiking, playing games, and just relaxing.

She is excited to work with the wonderful staff at Valley Animal Hospital and feels lucky to have such a supportive team for her first job as a veterinarian.

Rehabilitation

Regan Romanoski

Regan Romanoski PT, CCRT, is a 2001 graduate of the University of Hartford with a B.S. in physical therapy. She has enjoyed great variety while working in outpatient orthopedic practices, subacute and nursing rehabilitation centers. A few years ago she lost her elder dog Deuce, whose physical decline left an imprint in her heart and mind. Throughout, he maintained his gentle, loving spirit and positive attitude. His perseverance and zest for life (especially walks!) was inspiring. Regan has since been compelled to help the lives of dogs dealing with physical impairments and ailments, in order to maximize their quality of life. This passion lead her to become a certified canine rehabilitation therapist (CCRT) through the Canine Rehabilitation Institute in 2016. She is very excited to be a part of a knowledgeable, caring team and looks forward to making a positive impact on the lives of many dogs and their humans!

Exclusive Offer

Spay or Neuter your pet

Each year 6 – 8 million cats and dogs enter the U.S. shelter system– fewer than half are lucky enough to find forever homes.  The American Veterinary Medical Association reports spaying and neutering adds to the longevity of our furry pals with dogs living an average of 1 to 3 years longer and cats 3 to 5 years more by reducing the risk of certain cancers.
