Pet Boarding FAQs in Clifton, NJ

Welcome to Valley Animal Hospital where we are proud to offer pet boarding services to the residents of Clifton and surrounding areas. Here are some frequently asked questions to help you get a better idea of who we are and to give you more information about our pet boarding services.

What types of animals do you board?

At this time, we are prepared to accommodate cats and dogs exclusively.

Can I board my special needs pet at Valley Animal Hospital?

Here at Valley Animal Hospital, we strive to give your pet a positive boarding experience by supplying a sanitary, comfortable, spa-like environment that is specially equipped for both healthy and special needs animals. 

What are your available drop off and pick up times?

Check-in times are 8 – 6:30 PM, Monday through Friday, 8 – 12:30 PM on Saturdays.  We do not accept pets on Sundays, but you may pick up your boarded pets by 1:00 PM on that day. I need to double check the time, it may be 8 am to 12 pm on Saturday.

Should I supply my pet's own food and toys?

If your pet is attached to a particular toy, or you would like to include a special blanket or similar item that reminds the animal of you or its home, please feel free to include that item when you drop off your pet with us for boarding. 

You may also bring your pet's own food, although we do provide the option to use food supplied by our facility.  We only feed pet guests top quality, highly nutritious foods.

Who are your veterinarians?

Our pet boarding operation is overseen by Dr. Bruce Henderson and Dr. Jamie Thompson, our veterinarians here at Valley Animal Hospital. Both are highly experienced veterinarians who are dedicated to providing the best healthcare possible for your beloved pets.

What payment options do you accept?

Payment is required when services are rendered. We accept cash, checks, and the following credit cards: A down payment is required at the time of drop off, any Sunday pickups must be paid in full at time of drop off.

We also provide access to CareCredit, for those times when a cost-prohibitive emergency arises.   In addition to these options, we can also provide information about pet insurance coverage. Simply ask one of our helpful associates for further details.
